Attendees using the empirejunction.org web site link now will find the room rate to be $163 per night. Attendees should book the room then send Rachel an e-mail with your confirmation number for the rate reduction.
Please join us for the “Empire Junction” in Liverpool, NY (a suburb of Syracuse) at the Holiday Inn on Electronics Parkway. The festivities will begin on Thursday night with clinics, operating sessions on some wonderful local layouts, and socializing at the hospitality room. Things really get into full swing on Friday with many more clinics, FREE Modeling with the Masters (the number of seats are limited), more operating sessions, layouts galore to visit, prototype tours and socializing in the hospitality room. Saturday is more of the same with the dinner and social event featuring entertainment for both the modeler and the spouse. On Sunday we many fine layouts that will be open for you to visit on your way home. So please check back often as we will be updating the site and information on a regular basis.

Jason Shron & Dan Garcia of Rapido Trains, Inc.
We are delighted to announce that Jason Shron and Dan Garcia of Rapido Trains, Inc., will be the main guest speakers at the EJ'12 banquet!! Here are their biographies from the Rapido Trains website:
JASON SHRON founded Rapido Trains Inc. in 2003 and incorporated the company in November 2004. Jason is very well known in the Canadian model railroad community and author of the book, TurboTrain: A Journey. Jason is the owner of the popular CanModelTrains internet discussion group, which you can join by clicking here, and he is currently building a piece of CN's Kingston Sub in his basement in 1:87.1 and 1:1 scales.
DAN GARCIA is Rapido Train's full-time specialist in research and development, customer service, layout building, sample testing, communications, website design - heck, he does just about everything. Our beautiful display layout would not exist were it not for Dan's tireless efforts. Dan responds well to bribery provided that it is related to modern Canadian commuter operations and traction. If you have any problems with your Rapido products, give Dan a call. Dan's your man.
Thursday evening FREE "Mixer" at the hotel - On Thursday, Sept. 6, all convention activity comes to a halt between 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. so we can gather at the hotel for a free, no charge "mixer" gathering with light snacks and soft drinks. There will be a cash bar available. The purpose for this is a general orientation as well as a "last minute" update of program changes, notices of road construction, procedure for the "carving station" banquet on Saturday evening, etc....all for your convenience.
